The Kiss, Chapt 2
Chapter 2
You came down the stairs, fully dressed. Minho was already waiting at the bottom of the stairs for you. He passed you your bag and books. You smiled at him as you slung your bad voer your shoulder and took the books from him. "Kaja," you said, when just then, the doorbell rang.
You opened the door, only to find Geunsuk standing outside. Your cheeks burned with humiliation as you remembered all the scathing remarks he had made and how he had pushed you away last night. You bit your lip, trying to stop the tears from flowing, and you were about to slam the door when he caught hold of your wrist.
"No, don't go," he pleaded. "I'm really sorry... I can't think how I could have said all those words to you last night, You're the one I love, please, give em another chance. We barely started... let's begin again..." he begged. Your pride was smarted and your heart still ached. You shook your head stiffly, but still he persisted. He turned you to face him, and gazed at you seriously.
"Oh no. Please no," you thought. But it still happened. "Please?" he asked, and gave you his killer smile. Your heart instantly melted and you felt yourself returning to that first moment when you fell in love with him. You always felt that way whenever he gave you that smile. You heart shined, your face glowed and you felt any trace of anger you had leave you.
"Okay," you whispered shyly. He smiled again and offered you his arm, which you took. He escorted you down the steps and in a gentlemanly fashion, opened the car door for you before sliding in. He signalled to the chaffeur to drive off, and the car screeched away from the front steps.

Minho stood blindly at the front steps, watching the car drive off. He stood there for a very long time, staring down the road even after the car had gone. His face betrayed no emotion, his eyes were blank, but still he stared down the road.
A bird chirped and landed on Minho's books. Only then did he look down. "It's okay right? Right?" he asked the bird, his voice emotionless. The bird chirped again, its black glassy eyes staring wonderingly at Minho. Minho sighed, then flapped his ahnds at the bird before kicking his motorbike to life and driving off to school.

You entered the school on Geunsuk's arm and immediately, the both of you were the center of attraction. "Wow, not bad huh?" Jessica teased, nudging you after Geunsuk ahd gone off with his friends. You smiled, although you tried hard not to, and your girls laughed.
"Oh soon she's not going to have any time for us," Taeyeon joked. "Hey, that's not true," you protested. Sooyoung laughed. "Oh yeah, we'll see bout' that," she said. You pretended to be angry and rolled your eyes. "What-ever!" you said, snapping your fingers. "Bim-bo!" Jessica laughed. You chatted and laughed with them all the way till class, until...
"Minho..." you mumbled to yourself. He was alone and as soon as he saw you he ducked into the classroom. You felt hurt for the sudden avoiding and pretended you didn't see him. You raised your voice as you entered the classroom but he was focused on his books.
Enraged, you sat as far from him as possible and continued talking to your friends. And then... Geunsuk came in. You felt your heart leap as he flashed a brilliant smile at you and hugged you lightly around your waist while your friends tittered.
Minho raised his eys to look at you, but you did not notice it. Nor did you notice him gulping and how contorted his face had been.
