Another update

I have pleurisy. Not only is more coughing really bad for me, it's also quite painful.

On the other hand, I did suggest whooping cough vaccination, and my GP thought it was a good idea, so I've just had the standard tetanus/diptheria/pertussis vaccination.

Considering how strong your cough is when its just a cold, getting the Pertussis vaccine was a good idea.

I had Whooping Cough when I was a small child. My chest hurt bad, and I think I dislocated a few ribs. All in all any side effects you get from the vaccine are nothing to what happens when Pertussis or Tetanus hit.

Yes, the side effects for me seem to be minimal, as they were last time I had it (1996). A very slight discomfort. The needle is also so tiny I can barely even feel it, so there's not even that as a consideration.

Me too. Any *one* of these things I can manage, but it's all these things one on top of another that leave me just laying around unable to do much of anything.
