I just got a survey request from the AC Nielsen company, that I figured I'd take as a little break from watching my governor implode and typing boring legal documents. A few questions in, it got really interesting. It is a ridiculous double standard, especially compared with what's allowed in Europe, for example.

I think they got my name from Hey!Nielsen, which is made up of pretty web-savvy and media-literate folks, so I hope they get a fair number of people showing support for the storyline. We shall see, I guess.

That was an extremely good response, and hit all the major plot points of the "sex on tv" deal. I don't watch ATWT either, but I think it's silly of the network to introduce a gay storyline, have them kiss, and then pretend like they're treating that relationship the same way they'd do any other. Instead of addressing the question via the media because of fan outrage, they should address it through a storyline. Because that would *make sense*.

Thanks. It's all a plot on my part to get more sex on FNL and SPN--and, hey, if it's gay sex? SO MUCH THE BETTER! ;)

That was a great answer. Go you! And I don't know why they have a problem with sex, but constantly show ed pill commercials. What the hell?
