Giant Spoilery Poll of 401ness!

Sep 19, 2008 03:42

Quelle surprise. I'm overcaffeinated and oversleepinated. Add that to Show squee, and I had a lot of time to kill, even after a second viewing. This was the result. I am genuinely curious about reaction to so much of this episode, so please pimp far and wide. This is a rare unlocked post here for maximum reaction gathering. Also, feel free to ( Read more... )

I am so totally waiting to see what comes next! I sense an ironic twist to this "angel" thing, but not sure! Also, I really want Katie Cassidy back as Ruby! :/

God! I love this show! Can it be Thursday?

I didn't know which one to pick about how I feel about the new twist. I'm not thrilled (I miss the show being about ghosts and urban legends, and I think it might be getting ahead of itself) but there is no "I guess I'll stick around." I will watch this show until it is over, the end.

Also, I just posted fic. Read!

I saw your just-posted fic and I am RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED!!!!

I am very interested in discussing these new developments with you. *nods sagely*

You totally reminded me of a question I meant to ask, but left off! I will add as an extra bonus essay question now!

That's kind of how I feel right now. I was all WTF and "Oh Come on!" but I want to stick around and see what happens.

My memory told me it was the Ramones also, but I had to be sure! \o/

I love that punk rock is given equal weight with classic rock on our show. And I am constantly correcting people (in my head) when they say that classic rock is all Dean listens to. :D

I am SO excited for this season! :D I love the new flappy title card, I totally jumped. I also loved how everything was filmed, the opener was so gorgeous. Didn't like new Ruby, I want KC back. They've kept dead bodies demon-alive before, it could have worked!
already had a few rumblings about the religious aspect on my flist, although personally, it didn't even register that way, for me.
Also, he's always said he had a 5 season plan, right? I'm choosing to believe that this has always been part of the plan and that it's going to be AWESOME.

I didn't like KC, but I don't like new!chick either. I felt like KC couldn't read a line without a snide tone, and new!chick wouldn't know how to do snide if her life depended on it.

I love the religious stuff, because it's not "Christian." It's old skool, Old Testament, fire and brimstone, "angels will kick your motherfucking ass because God said so" kinda shit!

See, I can't imagine starting so small when you know you have this waiting in the wings and being as amped as he was for the "small" stuff when you know this shit is coming. That doesn't mean I don't believe that this was always part of his plan. I'm just in awe of his greatness, if it was.

I like KC a lot better, though. Oh well.

Yes, I hope it stays that way.

Don't doubt the Kripke! *g* you're right though, I just hadn't thought about it that way around.

The whole Sam/demon king vs. Dean/chosen of angels thing: Did Kripke just pull that out of his ass, or do you believe that was part of the "roadmap" all along?

Huh. You know, I tend not to believe that Kripke's one with a master plan. I think he's more of a supreme bullshitter. However he did certainly lay a lot of groundwork in previous episodes to make this outcome extremely satisfying.

I could totally successfully argue both sides of this issue. I swear, I am so close to hunting down Kripke's address and showing up on his porch with a case of beer and all my questions (all non-spoilery ones, of course!). *g*

I mean this in the most non-stalkery way possible. Kripke would love me! I get his Dallas references! We're clearly geeks-in-arms! ;)

Okay, ICON LOVE first of all.

And I'm the same way about asking creative types how they think up this stuff (I don't have to bother David Kemper--Farscape--because he outlined all his thoughts on my beloved FS DVDs).

I hate taking hardline stands on authorial intent in general, perhaps due to my English major tendencies to switch sides like whoa. And Kripke's one shady mo-fo.
