GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY THAT WAS AWESOME!!!
I am totally being infected by the general capslock-squee of my current roommate
ze_pink_lady, so blame all incoherence on her, and, you know, this show that loves to give us things that are entirely made of AWESOMENESS and HOTNESS like DOUBLE THE DEAN and MISHA-AS-CAS-AS-MISHA-THE-LOVE-GURU, and canon Dean in women's underwear--and liking it. Yeah, I can't wait to see all the fic this gives us.
There is little room for thinkieness in this response, since LJ was down, so I was not taking notes during. I, like many others, I am sure, suspected that Zac was fucking with the future to make Dean say yes to Michael. I knew early on, again, like many others, I am sure, that Dean was going to go the other route: not saying yes to Michael but making it so Sam wouldn't say yes to Lucifer. I knew they'd come back together.
While I still don't think Show did a very good job of giving Sam any good excuse to leave in the first place, Dean's insistence on keeping them apart made more sense, and Dean's insistence that they come back together was the only logical next step. So, fine. That was a pointless little detour, and all those who wailed and gnashed their teeth about the boys being separated, I hope you feel sufficiently foolish now. Because, um, duh? I'm not saying it didn't hurt, but what hurt me most was the stupidity of it, and the lack of it making any sense, not the fact that it happened, because it was always obviously a short-term situation. I know lots of people had hopes for them maturing and growing apart from their unhealthy attachment to each other, and I sort of was looking at it from that angle--or trying to, anyway--but that obviously isn't happening either.
Also, Jared, I love you, but you really sucked trying to play Lucifer-as-Mark-Pellegrino-plays-him. A Lucifer with no evil is not your best look. Also, white shoes. Don't do that again. However, in all the scenes where you were actually Sam, you were awesome and tore my heart out. Jensen just impressed me all over the place, and Misha was hilarious and awesome and I am so glad we get regular Cas back, because I don't know how much more of human-Cas I could have dealt with.
Man, I love this show.
