So I, against my better judgement, watched the debate the other night. Both candidates have plans, some better sounding than others. But I don't expect either of them to live up to it. The reason is simple...Rich a-holes can make more money for themselves. Given our cultural tendancy toward over-analytical views, this means that the person in question never stops to consider what effect this will have on the country as a whole in the long term. Hence they are "shitting in their bed". At the end of the day, the blame falls squarely on the American public for ignoring the warnings in the 80's to "buy American" etc etc. Those companies fell LONG ago, and now, because the average American is not only analytical, but nigh-retarded thanks to public education methods, we are now up shit creek and we have paddles but are too ignorant and distracted to even realize that we should use them ( ... )
