Just a quick post to say I have returned from M'era Luna. Once again, the goth coach there and back was a lot of fun and thanks to ade50021 for organising it and to Gordon our really nice driver. Band wise the line up was not as good as last years for me, but I really enjoyed The Prodigy much more than I was expecting! Probably the band of the festival for ( Read more... )

Ah! And we didn't meet up!

You didn't happen to be on that British coach that barely made it there ;-)?! There was one that had problems, right beside our camping space...

I loved Apocalyptica, Tiamat, Deathstars, Zeromancer, Crüxshadows and Krypteria. Most others that I saw were cool too - I danced to all the songs I knew during The Prodigy. I didn't hate Nightwish but I noticed they weren't as good as back when they played at M'era Luna before with Tarja. I'm not a big fan but back in 2003 they impressed me. However, Marco was pretty cool.

Next year we should really meet up!!

Did you get to spend a lot of money at the stands? I did...

Yeah, shame we didn't meet up this time. Hopefully next year! Marco is always cool but I found the rest of their set a bit of a disappointment this time.

Our coach was fine so it must havebeen another British group that had problems although I'm not sure if I know them.

I didn't spend as much as other years but we bought a skull and crossbones shower curtain which is now in our bathroom. :)

I'm a random commenter, I searched users interested in M'era Luna as I was just at the festival. I completely agree with you about Nightwish. It was my first time seeing them and I was totally disappointed :( I consumed quite a lot of beer during their set lol.

Beer was probably the best way to get through their set! Hope you enjoyed the rest of the festival though.

Cool. :) Salvation was pretty cool on Friday, though I didn't really know anyone there yet. Hopefully see you soon. :)

Great to see you again, even if it was only for a few moments. Unfortunately I disagree with you on some of the bands: L'ame Immortelle were the biggest disappointment of the decade for me, I'd waited nine years to see them, and they'd turned into a damned awful emo band - what happened to their great darkwave sound? Also Die Apok.... Reiter freaked the hell out of me - what was up with the Gimp and geting the audience up on stage - weird.

Great to see you too. I quite like the new L'ame Immortelle sound though it must have been a disappointment that they more or less neglected their enitre discography before "Als Die Liebe Starb". Die Apok... Reiter are very German, don't quite understand it but I find them very amusing, and entertaining. Seen them at Wacken a couple of times before.
