when i'm up there, i'm a figure of art, projecting my feeling in an audio form in hopes that other people can interpret them in that sense. but that's just my opinion, maybe i just analyze and get too mesmorized by music. but playing a song is like getting in 'the zone'. if i don't get in the mind set, then the song will suck.. i could have played ( Read more... )

Yes, you are, my friend; and amen to half of that. I don't want to know what kind of underwear Peter is wearing, I want to hear what kind of music Peter is playing.

I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the show.. I would have telekenetically sent you happy zone love full of music and delight if I would have known that people are retarded and distract you from your zen art.. but alas, I sometimes forget about the people that have no tact or appreciation for music. Sometimes they need to forget about themselves. Then maybe something would be right in the world.

amen to that. you dont need people screaming at you right in the middle of a song.. maybe that flies at a big rock concert or something.. but not an acoustic set at a coffee shop. let the man play his music!

How does one put you in or take you out of the zone, for future reference?

well i'd like you guys to talk amongst yourselves, but don't yell meaningless stuff when i'm trying to start songs and what not.. I'm sorry if it sounds harsh.. it just really distracts and stuff, i don't know how to explain it.

Well I wasn't there, so I don't really know what people were yelling, but from listening to people at your other shows, I have an idea of what went on. It doesn't sound harsh at all, I'd be pretty distracted too if people were yelling things at me while I was trying to play in front of a bunch of people. Does cheering before/after songs bother you, because that's what I usually do?

oh i don't mind cheers or claps at all.. it's just that.. you know, you wouldn't talk out in front of a movie right? since i play soft music in the first place, it's just kinda hard when people are loud once i'm getting into a song.. but that's always gonna happen some times i guess.. there are always distractions. it's not a big deal, i can usually play with distractions.. but yeah
