Finished reading Neil Gaiman's American Gods.
Somehow I feel pretty calm after reading the book, even if there was a little graphic blood-spilling. Okay, also a few bizarre sex and death scenes, but they fit well in the divine storytelling. What can I say? Neil is a great man with a great plot and an eye for the details.

Ah, Good Omens :) The angel/demon duo was such a gay reading experience I'll have to grab it again from the shelf some day.
Squee^2! Sandman is a must read series - Smilla has already begun reading it, and I shall soon begin. I should only get a proper starting point - for instance, the first ones, if they appear available in the library. (Or I must collect 'em all from the bookstore! Now this is a fine present idea :) The strong visual expression has already lured me in.

Sandman: The first ones should be reasonably available in the library but if you can't find the rest (or can't be arsed to buy) I might be able to lend them for you?
You do know about the Sandman 'sister' (heh) series Death?
(It has only two albums but they are frighteningly good.)
