Perhaps the biggest plot hole in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince [Film]

If it is possible to produce water from your wand, ALA Harry refilling the fountain in the middle of the cave, then why is it the Weasley’s, Tonks, Lupin and Harry simply stand outside, watching in horror as the burrow burns spectacularly to the ground?

Well I’ve just ( Read more... )

...dude, have you not seen the fucking cast list for Alice? I defecated in my trousers.

Johnny Depp ... The Mad Hatter

Anne Hathaway ... The White Queen

Helena Bonham Carter ... The Red Queen

Crispin Glover ... The Knave of Hearts

Mia Wasikowska ... Alice Kingsley
other cast:

Alan Rickman ... The Caterpillar

Michael Sheen ... The White Rabbit

Stephen Fry ... The Cheshire Cat

Timothy Spall ... The Bloodhound

Christopher Lee ... The Jabberwock

Noah Taylor ... The March Hare
Matt Lucas ... Tweedledee / Tweedledum

Stephen. Motherfucking. Fry. I would do anything at all for that man, you have no idea.

I learned of some of the cast many many months ago, but there are some things here I did not know! Crispin Glover, Timothy Spall and Alan Rickman.

And ditto on the Stephen Fry as well, though I mostly like him from V for Vendetta and Hitchhikers guide.

Also, the plot sounds similar (in certain parts) to 'The looking glass wars' by Frank Beddor, which I liked. (but not the sequel, 'Seeing Red')

OH! And did you hear? Steven Spielberg is redoing Harvey.

I'm so fucking excited. I love that movie, and I think he could have the right hands for it.

watching in horror as the burrow burns spectacularly to the ground?

... What? -_- Was that in the book? It's been so long since I read it now ...

Also, I'm surprised you're only all "it passes" on "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and yet ... you're using a Gone With The Wind icon? Yeep. *hides*

:p

Oh lordy this is either going to be so fantastically awesome or an epic failure.

FANTASTICALLY FUCKING AWESOME FOR THE WIN. OH YES.

Alice is 19 and goes back to Wonderland ... and I could totally give you more spoilers (BECAUSE I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED WHEEE HEEE) but I won't until/if you ask for them! :D

The music is SO awesome (again, DANNY ELFMAN FOR THE MOTHEREFFING WIN!), and though you know I'm usually totally with you on all things animated (and totally understand how you feel about the Dark Crystal - my feelings on E.T. and Yoda, just for two examples that got CGI-buttfucked), for this I really think it works and I don't think Tim Burton could have gotten his own (AWESOMELY FUCKED-UP DRUGGED-OUT UNIQUE-AS-FUCK) vision ( ... )

The burrow DOES NOT burn spectacularly to the ground in the book! This was part of the point I'm making. Grrr. In the film, as you'll see, Bella turns up at christmas with Fenrir Greyback and sets the house on fire...then we don't hear anything else about it for the rest of the film. Where are the Weasley's staying now? Who knows ( ... )

I knew it! A-ha, you see I guessed correctly your hatred of Scarlett. *points above* And not offended at all. Like I say, she's a totally hate-able character, even as I explained my reasons for liking her. *nods* I understand it all ( ... )
