Summary: Dwalin recalls his romantic past with Thorin, and with one of his nephews. Dwalin/Kili, mentions of Dwalin/Thorin. Yep, I went there. Enjoy!

Omg! A Dwalin/Kili fic! How I love that veteran warrior dwarf. While my main focus and interest may lie with either the Durin uncle or his nephews, I do hold a special place in my heart for Dwalin. There is just something about that gruff exterior and what hides beneath all the thick layers. I have started exploring him in a pairing with Fili for one challenge fic and have begun a draft for another fic that sees him paired up with Kili. So stumbling upon this is just so awesome!

And this? --> "Then you, Kili, shall truly be the prince under the mountain this night," Dwalin smiled. = Love, love, love! Perfect retort after Kili's comment.

Well I'll be damned! That's you?!?! That was my second RPF fic. Ever. The summary called to me and I was unable to resist. I have it on my 'need to comment' list, actually. I kind of shied away from commenting at first ... been away from fandom for so long. And then, last weekend, started revisiting fics I had recently read and am taking the time to post comments. If I can stop getting distracted by new stuff to read (and trying to write stuff myself), that is. I did leave Kudos though. I think?!

Anyways. Those fics were hawt in so many ways. Most definitely floats my boat.

Aw, you knew it already? That give me a huge case of the smilies. I go by glimmerella here on LJ, ThornyHedge on Tumblr and AO3, and Thorny Hedge on FF.net, where I have a number of non-RPF Hobbit/Supernatural fics stowed.
