I've seen a lot of announcements lately where people are anticipating to depart from the Hanson community. By "a lot" I mean three- on LJ and other parts of the internet. My response to these long, trite speeches? "Goodbye!" If you want to leave, leave. The mellowdramatic, feigned nonchalance is unnecessary

I've been noticing that with the Hanson LJ community as well. It's kind of ridiculous; that is, the implication that those people in question have matured beyond the band and that we are little kids again, and don't know the "ways of the world" as it were.

People tend to read too far into a significant community surrounding a particular artists. You'll find the same inconsistencies in any dedicated fandom. There is nothing very unique about us in that respect.

I've never been very sophisticated. Then again, I've never really considered myself a part of the "hanson fan community." In all aspects of my life, I've always been the outsider. And here again, I find myself on the outside.

So, I don't have to secede the community, since I never really joined.

We go through this with every album, pretty much. Then, they tour, and all is forgiven. Boredom is an evil thing!
