I am not a fan of peanut butter and jelly, but peanut butter on burgers (or, pretty much any sandwich with meat or meat-like substitutes) is something i have enjoyed at home for many years. If you want to eat vegan, peanut butter is a great substitute for cow butter while still giving you that oily schmear you need to keep the bread moist. One of my faves i used to make when i cooked meat at home was a peanut butter, spam and hot sauce sandwich. (Occasionally plus fried egg for bonus juiciness.) But aside from the butter-like bread-coating effect, even in America, land of weirdly sugary peanut butter, fancy restaurants cook fries (and presumably burger patties) in peanut oil, so it seems logical to anyway have peanut flavor on your burger. Thanks for sharing!

What was the jelly? This would make or break it for me.

It had two different types of jelly! A mixed berry jelly and a bacon jam. I’m always intrigued by weird food combos and love trying them.
