The Warg in the Wood

To call a Warg a wolf was akin to calling one of the Meara horse lords a Shire pony. The resemblace was certainly there, but the scale was all wrong. The Warg that had unexpectedly come crashing through the trees could easily have pulled down an adult draft horse. The creature was six feet tall at shoulder, and nearly that again across its chest. Iolaus had been watching glints_on_snow rather closely since she had, after all, walked off with the dice. But there was suddenly something wrong about the forest. Still. Too still.

"I've got a really bad feeling about--" he began, just as a monstrous creature sprang out of the trees toward Diamond. As Iolaus drew his sword and ran forward, the creature barreled past Diamond toward mirkwood_king . . .
