Remember the good ole American adage "In Vino Veritas," and bring that guy some wine! He'll tell you anything then. :+) Shruti and I cooked last night for her mom since she had that eye surgery ... we always manage to screw it up, but then yogurt makes everything a-ok.

Saw the new pics - now Nicole and I both have creepy-looking middle eastern pictures (remember the one of me in Reshoo's car?) and the mehndi looks gorgeous...learn how to do it like that so I can put some before I leave! Nevermind, might get stopped at Chinese customs because it could be a secret code saying something like "hail mao" or whatnot.

So did you get ayurvedic stuff done to you today or did you just go back to that place again?

hey...actually got a whole lot done today...will post it sometime soon. I don't think I am going to undergo any of it though. What else is going on there? I will call you soon - maybe tomorrow night (IST)

Hey there... i don't know you and hope I'm not crashing a personal log, but I have been searching for information on reputable Ayurvedic services in India and read your post from June 1. I can tell the difference between the first experience and the second dr. I don't want to fly all the way over there and not know what I'm getting into. DO you have any recommendations? If you are going to the area of Kerala, I hear there is a lot of interesting stuff there.

hey, sorry took a while to get back. You can find a wealth of information here in India and the most impressive thing is that people are more than willing to help. Try to get some background reading done before you get here. For my project I was hoping to cover mainstream hospitals as well as small, independent Ayurvedic practitioners. I have had the opportunity to see both. You are right about Kerala, but I am not going there. Instead, I will be visit Rishikesh - one of the seats of education of Ayurveda and Hinduism. You'll have to tell me more about your current status so that I can tell you exactly what might be good for you.
