Two cons and a rant

So this year Anzac day and Easter almost overlap. Which means that the usual Anzac weekend Camarilla Con Noctis is on the same weekend as the local RPG Con Eyecon. So the hope was that the orgs would be able to wrangle things so people could do some of each con. Which would be good because I enjoy both cons and both will have people I don't get to see very often.
Well for various reasons like the sessions at Eyecon being 3 hour and Noctis are 4 hour the schedules are such that the sessions at each con start and finish halfway through the sessions for the other con. Well, bugger.
Avoiding this would have probably been difficult, and requiring some compromise. While there are a good number of Cammies who would normally turn up to Eyecon there aren't many who were likely to try to get to both regardless. Or so I've heard. So it may just be me thats going to find this a prick. So, not surprising the Orgs have just left things pretty much at the usual schedule.
Anyway, it means that if I want to get to Eyecon at all I'm going to have to drop not one but a minimum of two sessions on any day.

Eyecon does have two sessions on Tuesday clashing only with a bit of a social so I can do those. Horay.
I'm much of a fan of Masquerade which is on Saturday night so I can go then, which will probably be the Trivia night. Which is fun but is one of the things I skip if tired or something else is on.
Don't know when James' unbound game is, but if it's a 5-8 session, which is what I expect, it's the same time as the game I'm running, Lost, on two days. Hopefully I will get lucky, James has my schedule so it's not entirely luck but he does have other things to plan around as well.
And I'm helping Katie run the Werewolf game so it's either let her down or just not go to Eyecon except tuesday and maybe one other session.

I feel kinda bad about this because I spent a lot of time trying to encourage the Canberra crowd to come here for one of our cons. And several said they were hoping to get to Eyecon this year (probably not because of my encouragement, just because). And I'm not going to be there myself.

Oh well. Could be worse. At least I can go to con at all and being in sydney it will be cheap.
