The Big Questions

I was just about incapable of function or communication for three hours yesterday evening studying my newly-bought copy of The Complete X-Files. I was close to simply cutting it, snorting it and blissfully OD'ing on all the pretty. For me, its most evocative photograph is a double-page glossy of the young, serious and dark-clothed Agents Mulder and ( Read more... )

Who the hell knows with this show?! Surely it would've cured Mulder's rather convenient brain tumour, too.

'cause we totally believe in *that*, Chris.

I thought the "brain disease" came later as a result of the brain surgery performed by CSM's Roving Surgical Team? Or was it from the work of Dr Goldstein?

Oh, you're right, I forgot that if I value my sanity at all then these are not questions to be exercising deep thought on.

I have no idea where it came from, apart from Chris Carter's reserve tank as a useless 'get out of jail free' card. Nobody bought it.

Huh. That is indeed an interesting passage... but of course, one can never be sure. I still like that theory, though!

Yes, as Jessica said so wisely in her "all things" recap: "...it's hard to say. Of course it's hard to say. It's hard to say if the sun rises every morning on this show."

It is so nice to have the support of my fellow Philes in this... ;)

I know, I know. Excercise in futility. Death by a thousand Messiah Babies. But after years of following the mytharc half-heartedly, of re-watching the episodes only for nearly-naked Mulder in Scully's bed, naked M&S in the shower, etc., I find myself now wanting to KNOW, goddamnit. And need I remind you that the truth is out there?

Pilot!Scully...awww. RUN DANA RUN! He's very, very hot but he is going to fuck up your life but good.

I hate the mytharc. I wrote this whole crazy fic where I tried to make sense of it and I knew canon inside and out like you would not believe. And it still makes no sense to me.

So now I'm just shallow and skip around to hot people and sexy banter.

*snort* I love your icon, and this post.

But yeah, I'm very glad I was convinced early in my watching not to care much about the mytharc. I will read people's interpretations of it, if well-written, but not caring so much just makes it so much easier to be a Phile.
