So... I just got a summer job that demands 40 hour weeks. I've got some serious regrets about signing myself up for this... I've never worked an honest week's work in my life, and this'd be the first. Money is money. If you can earn it by doing something you like doing (poker), what's so bad about that? 40 hour weeks eat away at your soul.

Ha! so get over yourself and go to work. Its fun, you meet people, you feel acomplished. Worse come to worse its a resume builder, which poker is not going to help with. Plus it gives your summer some structure.

You were SO right! This was basically what spurred me to get the job in the first place, and in retrospect, it was one of the best life choices I've ever made. Since this reply is a couple months after the original post, I might as well dust off my journal and give it an update.
