Author’s Notes: This is a gift fic for evilcharsa
It originally had been a joke, which somehow turned into a dare, which lead Harry into his current situation. Laid out on his bed was a Slytherin uniform, Draco’s to be exact, and he was expected to dress in it and go to classes the whole day showing his house pride, except for the tiny detail that he wasn’t officially a snake.
He knew it was going to be a long day, but he had to admit that it would be worth it just to see Draco in his Gryffindor uniform. After all he had almost been sorted into Slytherin his first year at Hogwarts. Draco however didn’t have a drop of Gryffindor blood in him, which made the dare all the more hilarious.
Swallowing hard, he began putting on the uniform and set out to the Great Hall for breakfast. He had barely left the common room when he had heard the surprised shouts of "What are you doing?" and "Are you insane?" Of course he had been expecting for most of the students to think he was off his rocker, though to be honest, he didn’t know why they even bothered being surprised anymore by some of the antics he and Draco got into.
He had barely sat down in between Hermione and Ron before another commotion filled the Great Hall, ‘Ah, brilliant Draco must’ve just come in’ he thought to himself. Looking up, sure enough he found himself staring into Draco’s grey eyes full of amusement as he took in the sight of his friend dressed in his own uniform. Giving each other a nod of acknowledgement was enough to set tongues wagging again over the latest gossip.
Harry rolled his eyes and returned to his breakfast as Ron questioned him over his wearing the Slytherin uniform. His answer was the exact same as Draco’s as Blaise questioned him over his recent choice in clothing, "House Pride." They left it at that and refused to say any more over the subject.
After all they were showing house pride, even if it was for their opposite houses.
