Sorry it's taken me so long to add you!! I haven't been on LJ much this month (having severe withdrawl). I just checked out your userinfo and you seem great so I am happily adding you...
hi i was reading the results of the ljuk community poll and you mentioned in the results that you used the Pro Active range? i was thinking of trying it, and wanted to get some proper real advice from a user whos trying it... if you could help, would be very helpful :]
Yeah I wasn't sure whether to believe all the hype before I tried it.
I have to say that I'm not sure what to say about this. I tried it originally when I lived in Canada last year and it worked pretty well. Not perfectly but there was a definite improvement.
I've been using it in the UK for about 2 months and it hasn't helped at all. The UK formula seems slightly different to the Canadian one and I wonder if I'm allergic to one of the ingredients as my skin is actually worse. So I can't give you a clear cut answer.
Right, sorry for random comment here, this was meant to be on livejournal_uk, but considering I've not been friended there yet..yeah..
It really depends on what your skin type is, and if you're reactive to things. I do swear by Lush though, but chose which of their products to use based on your type, as personally my skin didn't like Aqua Marina, as was suggested above, and I found Fresh Farmacy did nothing.
The Lowdown:
If you have dry/sensitive skin, go for the Aqua Marina.
If you have normal/combination skin, go for either Angels On Bare Skin, or Fresh Farmacy
If you have oilier skin, go for either Coalface Soap, or Herbalism.
Personally I used to have annoying acne. Once I got into a routine of using herbalism every morning, this stopped. Completely :) And fyi, I was a temp at Lush over xmas, we got trained up well so.. yeah. Skincare was kind of my thing :)
