I'm weird and I imagine what I would do in terrible situations like that. For example, I have nightmares and reoccurring thoughts of crashing into the Mississippi River in my car. I now have a keychain that has a windshield breaker and a seat belt cutter called "
Res-Q-Me. I got it for my birthday last year from my mom. It was one of the most heartfelt and thoughtful gifts I've ever received.
ANYWAY. I always wonder what I'd grab on my way out of my burning house. My husband and cat, obviously. However, I have two hands. My new expensive camera? My purse? Violin? I can always replace my wedding DVD and album because our families have copies.
When you think about how hard it is for me to come up with a solid list of material things that I would want to save, it really does seem like I have too many THINGS. I need to make a solid effort to Spring Clean and simplify.
..and get another fire/smoke detector. Maybe three.
