I'm so stressed out. Josh was able to have an interview for a job with MidAmerican Energy for a design tech, which he is very excited about. He's pretty much wanted to end up working for MidAmerican, so this is a big deal. He was lucky enough to get on at Target right before we married and it took a year for him to find a different full time job. ( Read more... )

It's 3 and a half hours, honey. That's like a trip to Des Moines. That is *nothing*; people road-trip farther for football games. Sometimes just to tailgate, not even to get inside the stadium.
Perhaps you can transfer your job? Or get it back once you're home? On that note:
The possibility of coming back to the Q.C., if that's what you want, within a year or two, is a very big deal. THIS IS A GREAT CHANCE, sweetie; grab it and go!
I know you're attached, but the Q.C. will always be there, and as long as you two have each other, you will be home. (I assume that the cats will go, too?) This will be an adventure for you both. Do it, love it, and treat it like a military tour. It's a year. That's nothing, I swear. I promise. It'll all be there when you get back.
