im weird, so heres what i would have done had i been in both positions of this... conversation.

eddie. he got his life in order thats MAJOR awesome. but i dont think i would have stopped being friends with like, whoever all of those people were, unless they were seriously a horrible influence on me or like he said, (roughly and in conclusioin) "not cool to be around."

however i dont see how YOU, natalie, fall into that catergory.

but because im a panzy, i probably wouldnt have gotten mad at him, though, i see without an obscurity why you were mad, because thast gay. he wont talk to you because oyu have hardcore friends. that would piss me off. but whatever. i dunno i might have gotten mad after all. but i hate losing friends so id probably feel really really bad afterwards if i got mad.
