so you 'own' the website. do you mean that you have registered the domain? there are two things you need to do: register the domain, AND host the domain. usually you have one company do both for you.

its way complicated unless you get someone to host it for you, and so you should probably see how they give you website building tools, or just use html and keep it simple.

i've been trying SeaMonkey (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/), so hopefully i can figure it out.

now i just really need ideas of what should go on there.

wow, the seamonkey stuff looks kind of intimidating, I'm sure you'll get a pretty good quality website after using that.
