• i saw 'Dancer in the Dark' this weekend. that movie is fucked up. i'm still not sure if i liked it or not though. i think i have to watch it again.
• South Boston is nowhere near close enough to Somerville
• always, ALWAYS bring your keys with you when a drunk girl says she'll be the one to check to make sure the door is unlocked before closing it

which of the two movies were you talking about? (i am going to assume Dancer in the Dark, although really you should see both of them)

My bad, but you're right, I meant Dancer in the Dark. I've seen Rules of Attraction.. watched it with a certain Colin Wilson if I remember correctly.

I totally know what you mean about Dancer in the Dark, though I knew I loved it it was just kind of in the Requiem for a dream kind of way.. Like I don't think I could watch it too often even though I'm pretty much in awe of how poignant it is

also - in my world civ class my teacher was talking about how much more sense Judaism is more pragmatic then christianity (yay), and how important the prophetic tradition is in judaism... That most jewish people trend towards the left because they have a strong sense of social justice. It sounded really true like something I maybe knew but didn't really conceptualize before that... Commentary? Does that seem to be true from your perspective? It does from mine.
