How did you know I was having a shitty morning and really needed a pick-me-up? You have the BEST timing!

Actually, my morning was going just fine til 11am so it's only been a shitty near-hour, but I'm not giving this fic back. It's MINE! And I shall now go and read and wallow.

And almost a month later I realise I've not left you proper feedback on this one ( ... )

You've continued so many of my favourite narrative threads - Changmin's jealousy of Siwon; Yunho trying to distract Changmin when Changmin asks direct questions that Yunho thinks he won't like the answer to; Changmin going straight for his tie whenever Yunho gets that look in his eyes ( ... )

The end of October seems like SO LONG AGO already. Then I remind myself that I started writing Sunflowers while C. was here and that feels like so long ago, too!

Dan Brown will never not be funny. Stupid man with his bragging rights about papal tours around the Vatican (possibly it was Pope Kyu, that would explain a lot) and he *still* manages to get it wrong in so many ways.

I like the thought that this one is more intimate. It was time to take them away from the big stage and see how they function off-screen, as it were. Changmin overseas is a different beast to Changmin in Korea; Yunho is the one who changes least, probably because he's always known who he is and Changmin changled himself in duty and familial expectation. But it takes us until Sunflowers to see that happy-go-lucky Yunho does have emotional needs, too, and they're no less deep than Changmin's; he just deals with it differently ( ... )

HOLY CRAP I HATE YOU I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO VISIT ROME AGAIN WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT HOMIN AND HOW TRAGIC IT IS THEY'VE NEVER ACTUALLY BEEN THERE.

Joking, I don't actually hate you. But I cry over HoMin not coming to Italy often enough, and now I have one more reason to. *SADNESS*

God, this was really perfect. Koreans are usually pretty crazy about Italy (actually, almost everyone is - hey, we're awesome people when we're not busy screwing up our own country!) and to actually hear them try to talk in Italian would kill me. KILL ME DEAD. Dead with cute because Yunho would be absolutely adorably awkward, and dead with sexy because Changmin + Italian is... GAH. Although the mere idea of Changmin speaking the milanese dialect is enough to make me roll off my bed laughing, it'd be freaking hilarious!

Btw, there are few mistakes here and there with the Italian speeches (I'm guessing Google Translate hits again?). If you want to I'd be happy to fix it up a bit, just PM me the original english text.

\o/ I absolutely adore Italy (though I've only been to Turin, Milan and Rome) so sending fashion!HoMin there was a no-brainer. In Milan I saw this fabulous guy all dressed in couture taking ten ferrets for a walk on a shared leash. I'd never seen anything so fantastic before and well, la bella figura.

Yes, there are mistakes on purpose since Changmin isn't fluent and his mind is on... other things ;) I used an old Italian phrasebook and deliberately mangled some of the words so they'd read in a nonsensical way. But thank you for the offer, I appreciate it (Changmin would take you up on it, I'm sure XD).

Ahh, Italy is wonderful. I admit I don't like Rome much - it's insanely beautiful as far as churches and museums go, but as a city it's a freaking nightmare, public transport and traffic are something that out to have their own horror movies. Florence is so much better. Though I live north-east, in Verona, which not only is a very nive place by itself, but I'm one hour train ride away from Venice ( ... )

One day I will visit Venice and Florence, if only for the art and architecture (though currently I'm considering a holiday in Sicily, my aunt raved about it). There was a travel article I read the other day about tours of Venice done in canoes, that sounds like great fun :D

No problem, thank you for the advice! How languages work is very interesting. Hmm since I got the phrases from a phrasebook then I wonder why it was so formal rather than a more colloquial form. Maybe because the book was very old!

I'll make sure to change 'verra' to 'vieni' at least, when I can get online properly. Thank you again!

Thank you! LOL I know Latin but not so much Italian so I literally went through a really old phrasebook looking for the most idiotic sentences to use!
