HI HI I KIND OF DISAPPEARED SORRY.
Uni is pretty awesome! I love my halls, I've met some lovely people, everything seems to be going well. The one thing I'm not getting used to is going out in the night - back home, I was used to knowing all the bars and pubs that I liked, but here everyone just seems to either go to the union bar or out to a club, which isn't really my thing. Londoners on my flist: if I want to go to nice, cheap-ish bars with good music, where should I head to?
I still haven't been to the V&A, even though it's literally right around the corner, but it's on my to do list! Also, the other night I went to see Stephen Hawking give a lecture in the Albert Hall. It was absolutely amazing. I mean, I can't afford to eat for the rest of the month, but it was so worth it.
Last night, I got back to my room at 4 in the morning, then realised the mens short in the NHK trophy started in 20 mins. So obviously I chose to watch it instead of sleeping:
I forgot how much I missed skating! Also how stressful it is to watch. There was some grumbling on _skating that Daisuke was overscored and Jeremy should be first, but I didn't really think so. Daisuke was fierce as hell, as always. I did think that mon bb Florent should have been third, though, he was awesome! He has a still good chance of medalling. And Yuzuru Hanyu was adorable and I'm glad he skated well, because he is just so presh.
Also wtf was with
Jeremy's costume? I was also not feeling the hand movements. I'M SORRY JEREMY.
At this point I could barely keep my eyes open so I didn't see ladies or ice dance, but omg Mao :( :( :(
And now I have to carefully schedule naps so I can watch the mens FS tonight. Another good thing about uni is that I have taken napping to an art form, seriously.
Also I have actually not watched ANY TV WHATSOEVER since getting here so I haven't seen Merlin in years, and I have no idea if the new season of Supernatural is good or not.
I DID SEE THE PICTURES OF CHRIS PINE AND TOM HARDY THOUGH. FINALLY.
