you're right, that steel train cd is incredible. you know it was produced by matt embree from rxb (and recorded in his studios "the elizabethan") well, i think it was. they do a lush "i want you back" cover on the ep 1969. cool X
Its so long but I listened to it twice this morning, meaning i wasn't in bed until 3.30. heh. so strange that both steel train and rxb should be on drive thru records, they're by far and away the best bands on there.
yeah definately. sometimes i think rxb should leave drive thru, like they're not your "average" drive thru band really are they? they're so much more, and i really don't think DT give them the support they should have. but then again, i suppose they do get more coverage than they would if they went on MDB (matt embrees independent record label) hmmmm.
you know steel train and rxb just came off tour together in the US? imagine if they came here, that'd be awesome! X
i interviewed matt a while ago and he was saying how drive thru let them do whatever they want, and for them thats really good considering that drive thru are rich enough to try and make them change. but all the new signings are really shit and insipid emo, it is nice to hear that they (DTR) can still be refreshing every now and again. I can't wait to hear new RXB stuff
