So, my day today consisted mainly of a shit job. I work at Tim Hortons (AKA: the slave trade, AKA: the shit hole, AKA: I hate this god damn place so much I'm going to go drown my self in coffee grinds). Anyway, it's a crappy job, obviously, and if weren't for the people I work with (who I all love with so much love it almost hurts to think about leaving them) I would have left AGES ago. And by ages I mean I've been working there for 7 years (I MUST be atoning for sins in a past life). I've repressed most of it to be honest.
Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating slightly. I know that there are worse jobs out there in this cruel world and I am truly thankful to actually have one. But it needs to be complained about right? We're all entitled to a little bitching now-and-again.
I'll give you an example of the general shittiness that is Tim Horton's on University Avenue. Today our drive thru was being paved during the lunch hour, (0ne of our peak sales times, nice job on the scheduling there) so people who weren't too lazy came inside to get their precious coffee. (don't you people know there's probably crack in the coffee and thats why your addicted to it?) Anyway this snotty lady comes in and starts ranting to me about the fact that she had to come inside (i was biting my lip so i wouldn't tell her she needed the excercise) and demanded to know why there were no signs up. Because, she was apparently SO smart, and didn't noticed the ten or so city workers with stop signs and a huge pavement roller cluttering up the drive thru, NOR the blocks we had put up ourselves.
I ask you, where is the justice in this world?
Sigh. Anyway I just needed to have this little rant. I hate my job but love the people that are there. So to everyone out there who has ever had a job like mine or is currently at one: Treat yourself to something nice and pat yourself on the back for not losing it and commiting homicide in a public place. I salute you all!
