I am so jealous, Simon! Wow, how wonderful!
For some reason, I feel completely sure that your French is very fluent; which naturally would make your Paris experience better.

As always you over-estimate me, sir!

My French was fairly fluent ... 25 years ago. Ann's French is more recent so we pidgen-Frenched with the natives the whole trip.

The food was excellent. We spent almost the entire last day eating in restaurants and talking with friends. Contrary to popular accounts, we found the French to be universally friendly, especially since we tried to talk in their language.

On a different subject, are you in town and coming to Denise Provost's victory party this Tuesday eve?

Sounds like a lovely NYE, and a good way to start and continue 2006. I spent mine with two male gay friends, and argued about gender roles until 7.30 in the morning...much more fun than it sounds.

A good argument without acrimonity or venum is always, always fun :)
I never thought that Kundelini Yoga is the way to bring in the New Year, but it really is :)
