Writer's Block: Two Truths and a Lie

1.   I'm an excellent swimmer and have fun snorkeling any time I get the chance.
2.   When the speed limit was 75mph, back in the 1970s, I used to drive 90 on I-55.
3.   I've been featured on television shows four times, on HGTV and BBC America.

90 sounds too slow for you, so that's my bet. ;)

90 was easy back in the 70s, when I'd make the run from Chicago to St. Louis. I'd go down there to Six Flags, because I am a theme park/rollercoaster *freak.* The VW I'd drive had a Porsche engine in it, thus it needed to be driven very fast as often as possible, so I obliged the owner by speeding like hell along I-55 where I could *almost* open her up. It was also prime hunting ground for the IL State Police, so I had to install a CB radio to get updates on where the 'bears' were.

The lie? I'm an okay swimmer but snorkeling is hard for me, because when I put on the mask it kicks in my extreme claustrophobia and I start to panic. I still go snorkeling, but it has to be a pretty thrilling setting to get me into a mask. I'm a boogie boarder, though, and even taught my mom when we went to Hawaii several years ago. She loved it!
