LJ going the way of the dodo bird?

I'm starting to see this article "The Russian Bear Slashes a Social Network" crop up on a number of people's LJ postings. Not sure there is any truth behind the rumor but it wouldn't hurt to back-up everything just in case. Not like I need something else to do this weekend. Ugh!

Back it up. However everything I've read says that they cut about 13 jobs in a 28 person office. The rumor is things will not be closing down. And if it does... I want a refund for my paid account prorated. (I paid it in November as I have every year since 1999)
