now, i don't mean to be pretentious, or arrogant, or self-righteous, or what have you, i don't consider myself a brilliant scholar or artist by any means (photographer, yes).

But, when I go to a graduate-level art critique, i don't expect to see art that looks like it was made by primary school students.
