BLJKE*: I need help uploading a .bmp as a userpic ...

... or at least changing it to a .png, .gif or .jpg!

I have an icon I made with one of those icon-making programs (whose name I can't remember right now). I screen-printed it as instructed, and ended up saving it into a .bmp file (not intentionally, that's just what happened). I really want to have it as one of my LJ userpics, but every time ( Read more... )

i don't know what software you're using, but normally it's just a "save as" and altering the types that's needed

Whenever I do a screen-print, I always paste it into Microsoft Paint. I'm sure there are other programs that are way better, and that give me more choices about what format I want to save the file into. In the future, I'll definitely need to look into that, because I'm sure I'll be making more icons, and I don't want a .bmp to be my only choice!

Oh, thank you so much, it looks great. But actually, I should edit my post to show that silenceleigh redid the icon for me this morning, so I'm now taken care of. Just the same, thanks so much for doing this!
