Whenever I do a screen-print, I always paste it into Microsoft Paint. I'm sure there are other programs that are way better, and that give me more choices about what format I want to save the file into. In the future, I'll definitely need to look into that, because I'm sure I'll be making more icons, and I don't want a .bmp to be my only choice!

Well Paint actually has an option to save the image as a GIF. Here's a screenshot of it:
