my son has a horrible cold right now, and he keeps coughing himself awake, crying about it, snuggling me for like thirty seconds when I go in to get him, then pointing at his crib and sobbing, so i set him down, he falls asleep, and like twenty minutes later he does it all over again

Ahhh, dear thing. I hope he gets better soon. How about a hot water bottle? If he's croupy the warmth probably makes him feel better. : (

My mom had the brilliant idea of buying double beds for all us kids, (when we were out of our cribs), it was a great decision, whenever somebody was sick there was always room for an adult to stay with them comfortably. Or company, when we had to make room for guests. She bought double beds for all her grandkids too and it just keeps on being awesome.
