Child, I regret being the one to say this but -
Sometimes people die and there's nothing you or anyone else can do to prevent it. Good people, great people, die on a regular basis. Your beliefs in afterlives are your own, and as a being that was created, not born, I have no right to have any of my own.

I will say, however, I think the sum of what makes a being special is how loves they are. You care about your mother a lot, and from all I have seen her death has impacted many people in this world. She was a beloved woman, and because of that, many tears are shed for her. However, would she be alive I am certain she would want the world to keep turning.
...I suppose what I desire to say is that while one cries, one should never stop moving.
