This journal is for real done. Just a reminder if there is anyone who doesn't have my new journal's location. I think I added anyone I thought would really care to read my new one, though. I'm not deleting this, cos sometimes I like to go back and read old entries from years ago. But nothing new ever after this ( Read more... )

I do not understand that last sentence at all?

I will email it to you AGAIN, but isn't the first email where I sent it to you still in your inbox or no?

When you called last week, I was out with my mom. I'm sorry! Today I'm going to a movie with Michelle, but if we aren't at the movie at 4, I'll listen!

So, you had a relative who loves you who offered you spin-free, sound, sincere advice, and you no longer want to read it because it doesn't mollycoddle you. You only want to hear from people who tell you it's OK to be lazy.
That's not in your best interests, but this is your journal. You have the right to block the truth.

Please look up the definition of "love". Love doesn't mean constantly haranguing someone and telling them that their mental illness is not real or as severe as they know it to be. Have you ever heard the expression about walking a mile in someone's shoes? Or "Before you accuse me take a look at yourself"? You don't know what Gloria's life is like. You make flip judgments based on LIVEJOURNAL ENTRIES, which, no matter how detailed or long, cannot accurately depict what a person, or their life, is like ( ... )

Of course I am not wrong, inconsiderate, cruel, or lacking in compassion. I have total faith that little tiny Gloria can be a complete success if she gives herself a chance. She is a good person with tons of intelligence, inner and outer beauty, talent, and compassion.
There are plenty of people with "mental illness" who are fully employed, and Gloria can be fully employed as well. Her only handicap is that for many of her formative years she was spoiled and the word "no" was rarely uttered, and even then, it was not enforced. That led to a belief that she could do anything she pleased, and that, in turn, led to a sense of entitlement to be lazy.
Little tiny Gloria can do anything she wants if she sets her mind to it. She hasn't had to just yet, but she will. She is a great person who has overcome a lot and will prove all of her detractors and mollycoddlers wrong.

I'm in the same boat as the person above. I followed you over here from Cat Lovers when you posted about Rocky. I lost my kitty Stormy last month, and have been going through the grieving process right along with you. I'm not really a good commenter, but I try! If you wouldn't mind adding me to your new journal, I'd totally keep reading.

You can add me or message/email the new location, whichever is easiest.
