I really hope that the youth of America do not give up. Apathy is not an option.

I agree. In one of my political science class, this one girl was saying voting didn't matter and votes are never counted. That is just the wrong attitude.

shoot
she better be glad i wasnt in her class...i would have SERIOUSLY chewed her out. i don't know why people think votes dont count just because their person didn't win. it just means not enough of you 1) came out or 2) liked him. the end.

well hey there :)
in terms of financial aid, i didnt recieve any type of scholarship or the such from howard, just because i inquired much too late after being accepted. their criteria isn't too hard (i'm not sure what the specifics are for this school year) but if you have a decent gpa and sat scores, you should be able to recieve some sort of financial aid, just make sure that you ask about it EARLY, before all the money is given out. because of my family's income, we werent eligible for any grants my freshman year (regardless of the fact that we had to take out a loan anyway). however, my dad lost his job for a couple of months, and since the cumulative earnings were very low, i was given a pell grant.
so, in general, there is money out there if you need help with tuition, you just have to look for it. hope that answers your question!
