Teddy had to make himself laugh at that. He was still getting used to - everything. Billy, and the sort of frankness that radiates from Cap's eyes, that murmurs from Billy's small, tense mouth.
This tugged at my heart in so many ways. First, Steve. Then, Teddy still not quite comfortable or knowing how to be.
They're too cute, I know?, but sometimes that's irresistible. Plus, Teddy still blinking from the darkness of the closet makes me beam. (And Billy's crush on Captain Dreamy is too much fun to resist; do you think he shipped Steve/Wanda?)

Yes, when he was younger. When he got older, he started an epic in which Cap'n Dreamy could never get over his dead love, Bucky. He abandoned it after 15 chapters out of a vague feeling of shame combined with the sudden realization that Cap and the Falcon spent *a lot* of time together.
Man, it's all just awkwardness and the fear/joy of endless possibility. That's what gets me about them. I don't care that they're obvious fannish catnip (they ARE), I gobble it up.
Oh, god, now you make me want such an AU. All the Marvel kidlets as the students! Reed as the slightly crazy science teacher! Tony as the guy who teaches mechanics to the slackers! Basketball games with their crosstown rivals at St. Xavier's!
Ohhhhhh my heart. Glossssssssss, this has my HART. I adore Principal Dreamy and Teddy's confidence issues and them. just them.
But he can't be - or so Billy says, and Billy knew these things - anyone but himself. I think Billy's quiet assertiveness and confidence gets ignored a *lot*, which is a shame. Hearts to you for writing him like this.
I AM SO HAPPY I MUST USE ASSCAPS. Happy and spinny with *love*.
I think Billy's quiet assertiveness and confidence gets ignored a *lot* I agree with you, and I have to say - I don't know WHY that is. It's pretty much his defining characteristic for me.

"World's handsomest, too," Billy had said later.

Aww, so he turned to canon-consistent fic, then?
ILU for this comment. I have to resort to Netspeak to communicate just how much.

Thanks so much for this feedback. I see your triple-hearts and raise you a big old *snug*.

They can do anything, and that has nothing to do with their powers.
Teddy's sure of that.
*flaildeath* I love Cap talking to them (and in just a few words what it means for Cap to TALK TO THEM omg).
Man, it's all just awkwardness and the fear/joy of endless possibility.

Principal Dreamy, man. It's one way to make a Marvel high school AU *work*. ;)

Somehow I'm seeing Bucky as The Janitor with a Secret.
