My trusty seven-year-old computer gave up the ghost on Monday afternoon.
It's slightly pathetic how bereft I've been without it. I've spent the time since attempting to reconstruct my notes and working drafts for current projects, knitting a hell of a lot, and wandering aimlessly, keening to myself.
Anyway, bear with me? I have occasional access to G's nifty work laptop, but my old machine was the server for our home network, so connecting to the net with hers in the evening makes me feel like Billy Ivanov hanging over a fire escape. Some of my work has been transferred to the even older laptop (Win95, represent), but since G's doesn't have a floppy drive, and that's *all* this machine has, I'm pretty much up a creek when it comes to posting and stuff. Hopefully, when I get a new system, it will at least have USB for some flash memory. *touch wood* Let's not even talk about the media files I was in the process of backing up when the computer died; the complete run of Captain America vol.1 that I'd spent *months* assembling is now no more.
Whine, whine, first-world problems. This affects, I guess, really only the
fire_fic bidders; I *am* reconstructing outlines and notes and figuring out what to do, I promise.

New fic:
Slipped Stitch is DCU -- Gotham girlslash, Karon/Zoanne, PG-13. Given how underused both characters are, it might well qualify as original character fic.
