i have again witnessed the evils of the license branch, and i can attest to the fact that they are ever increasing. i called them up just to make sure i had all the necessary documents and was told to bring proof of: identity (check- i already have a state id), social security (check- my soc is ON my state id, W-2, my paystubs, my insurance card,

WTF?!?!?!? That is just insane! I was just at a DMV last week and didn't hear any of that 'anti-terrorist' measures. Is there a way you can complain about this? I mean I'm sure you're not the only person they've probably said that to.

Glad you share the same "wtf?!" sentiments ;) I wrote a "nice" little letter. I plan on sending it to whatever appropriate offices/officials and I can think of (as well as the newspaper) as soon as I can calm down and edit it a bit, heh.
These incidents raise questions as to whether we are willing to give up some conviences (sp?) and personal freedoms for our "safety". I don't know, I just don't know.

Ugh, that's a nightmare!! What say the two of us shack up somewhere with good public transit and let the boyfriends happily drive wherever they please and leave us alone? ;)
