I Really Want to Go Outside and Stop to See Your Day

Characters: Rogue and Godric

Warnings: Blood. Violence. Idek. Not good things.

It'd been several days since Godric disappeared. Rogue didn't know what to do with half the things in her head. She had very vivid dreams about the blood shed. She'd wake up in a cold sweat and chose to stay around the mansion for the time being. She also avoided any telepaths at all cost. She didn't need giving anyone else the horror of what was now in her head.

She'd wandered up from the Danger Room after a simple exersize. The school had been quiet since Xavier's death. Classes were postponed, but Storm insisted on running the school. It was good to have a place. After all that's what Charles had wanted. Which brought up a whole bunch of other issues. Such as the cure, and the future in general. With Jean gone now and Logan trying to find her, the school almost seemed empty.

That only made her retreat into her head. She didn't like it, but the longer she sat with it, the more she tried to almost justify it. The way it played back felt so personal. Like she was the one killing, maiming, pillaging. It was a hard pill to swallow and more than she'd ever absorbed before. It wasn't like Logan or Magneto, whose pain she expressively felt. This was another inflicting untold things on a living person, sometimes even a child and living with the emotions attached to it. She had to justify it in someway to not go crazy or vomit every time the thoughts cropped up.

So now she was in the kitchen with a few other students, making a quick dinner. She wasn't hungry. It was hard to eat with that kind of imagery in her head. She could smell the iron in blood so acutely. But she had to try. Though admittedly her eyes kept distractedly drifting back to the knife she was cutting up fruit with.
