Content: After her fatal injury and having Godric save her, Marie is feeling the bond she has with him.

Her head was on her glove, her cheek flat against her hand and her hand on his chest. It was quiet, everything was unmoving except her own heartbeat. It was an odd sensation. Not only being this close to someone, but only hearing the sound of herself. She blinked slowly and shifted on top of him so that her chin was raised.
He was paler than she was, and that was saying something. For a girl who stayed covered up all of the time, Marie could rival most in paleness. Her eyes roamed down over his shirtless torso. The way his skin looked soft. He was soft with her. And before she knew it, she'd shifted so that now she was under him.
Normally she'd be terrified in such a situation. There were far too many risks here, far too many chances for her to to absorb more from him. But he didn't seem to mind, and all she could feel or hear was her heart throbbing in her ears. There was heat pulling between her legs. Most often, she could ignore it. Raging hormones were one thing, but this was different, and if he chose to take her right then and there, Rogue wouldn't object. Not with how her skin bristled after he lifted her pink nightgown up and off her.
She watched him with rounded eyes as even less was between them now. A gloved hand moved down over his side and she held on to his hip. With wide eyes, she swallowed hard as he positioned himself over her. She craned her neck for reasons she didn't understand. And then in that moment she felt him...
And then she woke up.
In a cold sweat, she woke up and brought her hand to her heart. She rubbed at her face almost in a panic. What the hell was that? Swallowing hard, she needed to get out of her bed. Marie needed water or something. With her heart still hammering, she went down to the kitchen just to get out of her room.
