history: According to Marvel Movies Wikia

personality:
Marie used to be a fun girl. But everything changed when she gained her powers. Afterward everything about her changed. She needed to protect others, so she kept herself guarded, always clothed. She'd learned to build up walls, but being on the run has that affect.

She does crave to be wanted though. Marie attaches herself to Logan because he's like her. She saw the claws in the bar and knew that even if he was some rough and tumble guy, he was like her. Rogue adapts well at the school, too. There are people her age dealing with the same thing she is. She ends up making friends with Bobby and Johnny for those reasons.

Although she does become attracted to those who do show her attention. Marie has spent some time alone, hating herself and her ability. When someone accepts her, she starts liking them. She becomes affectionate towards Logan, even coming to him when he's having nightmares. She cares a lot. She even ends up dating Bobby though there's not much actual time spent together, and the only thing they really have in common is that they're mutants. He's from a well off, loving family. Marie was kicked out and homeless.

She does adapt though. She sees the good that Xavier is doing, and it's only herself and her fears that make her leave. No one was actually all that afraid of Marie, but it's her own fears that Mystique fed off of to get her to leave the grounds. Once Logan, who she trusts above all others, talks to her, Marie realizes that the place was doing some good. The things that Xavier stands for is what she wants.

It's what leads her to eventually join the X-Men in later films.

She is quick to act though, especially when something frustrates her. She has no problem telling her opinions. Even when she's handcuffed to an elevator off to practically die. Later she brushes off Bobby when she thinks he deserves better than being with her. She thinks he should be with a girl he can touch.

Though that is an excuse to keep people closed off. Even when she does adjust to the school, the only real friends she has is Bobby and Johnny. And even with her relationship with Bobby, she never lets him get all that far.

She does come out of her skin a little when the idea of acceptance is offered. Still even with being at the Mansion and having a boyfriend, her own fears have a tendency to rule her. It often keeps her from things, makes her more or less play by the rules. When the X-Men go into Alkali Lake, she stays behind because she was told to do so. Even when Johnny leaves. She does what she's supposed to.

It's like that with her training as well. When they're fighting the sentinels in the Danger Room, she stays in the back. The others have abilities that can help with getting things done, but Marie never works on controlling hers. Mainly because that would involve touching, and Marie has already made up her mind that she isn't going to touch someone.

She wants to be accepted, but her own fears keep her from it. She can be bossy, often leading the three of them. Marie does ultimately believe in what the X-Men do though. After seeing the destruction the Brotherhood can cause, she doesn't want anything to do with it. Even when Magneto offers it to her. She sticks to her principles. Things are supposed to be good, and that's what she's fighting for - even if she has her own struggles and personal obstacles.

abilities/powers: She has the power to drain from other people by skin to skin contact. This includes power, memories, personality, and even life.

This is currently negated since she took the Cure, but I'm going off the ending of the movie and do plan on giving them back to her after a period of time.

first person sample:
[It was like she couldn't breath. Round brown eyes stared hard into the camera.] Professor X? Bobby? Logan? [A Southern drawl, deep and assertive despite the confusion.

She knew she left them to get the Cure, but this was... well she didn't know what it was. She had the tag in her hand. Marie stared at the word 'MUTANT' printed in thick black ink. Did it still count?]

Did Magneto do this? Did he kill me again? [This was more to herself. She didn't remember anything. Wasn't he after Jean?]

I thought-- Jean and Scott? [Her jaw tightened. None of this made sense. If it was Magneto again... It wasn't bad enough he'd taken her life once, taken Johnny away.]

What is this place? If anyone is out there listenin', was it the Cure? [It wasn't really tested. Who knew what the side effects were? She didn't know. It just seemed the more she thought about it the more questions she had. This wasn't helping.]

I don't know where I am. I just woke up and was here. I dunno what this could be. My name's Rogue, and I am a mutant. Was, I guess? [She has no issue with announcing this. That wasn't why she got the Cure after all.]

Just-- if someone could give me information, clothes maybe? [The lights flicker and there's a moment of panic.] I'd be appreciative.

Thanks. [The feed goes dark.]
