That is what is happening. I am so impressed at the way that scene is shot. Did they actually mean to do a ~kiss~ camera angle? I have no idea how they could do that and not catch it. Anyway, I remember watching it for the first time and yelling at the TV and falling over.

Right? I regret not keeping detailed bookmarks -- I was just absorbing everthing at a rate and emotional trajectory that didn't allow for reflection -- but I went through my friend faithgrowsold's bookmarks last night and just rolled around in s1 fic.
