For day 6 of the Eight Days of Sam & Dean fest, I'm posting more recs! I got into SPN just in time to catch the first ep of season 6 as it aired, and have been watching live since. This fandom has the best fic, honestly, and this list is obviously just a select handful of all the sparkly awesome Supernatural has on offer.

Ha! Nope, I think I feel like you and I got into fandom around the same time? Ish? I just know I started seeing your name cropping up all over. Although it would have been great to have started watching when my friend first told me to (I actually remember sitting in the room with her while she watched, but reading a book instead) I'm really glad to have gotten the full 1-5 amazingness over one summer.

Nearly so. I got in mid-S5. And I saw your name all over, too, and figured that you were just a veteran. Hehe, I guess we both were just mad fangirls :D Damn, it must've not been a very exciting episode that night if it didn't pull it out of your book. Marathoning a bunch of seasons really is the best though.

I remember being somewhat offended that it was (I'd assumed) an x-files ripoff except with typically cute white, straight guys. I was wrong on all counts! X-files homage with atypically traumatized gay guys dealing with each other's beauty and making sacrifices for the world!

I watched 1-5 on DVD the summer before S6 started, so this was my first 'real time' season too :)

I agree completely. The writers & artists in this fandom are the best. I am constantly awed by the embarrassment of riches on offer here.
