I am ridiculing the morons who repost ad nauseam the imbecilic bulletins, chain mail letters, forwards, photo e-mails, etc. that prey upon emotional reaction to ultimately stupid stories of pointless good intentions that A) probably never happened and B) have no bearing on most of our lives. I am ridiculing anybody stupid enough and gullible enough to let a fictive tale of well-wishing influence their lives.
Depressed people are just the secondary targets. Because they don't fight back. They just...get depressed. :-P
1. Correlation does not equal causality. 2. IQ tests are measurements of how a person does on IQ tests, and little more. 3. How intelligent can you be if you think that suicide is the best option? Sorry, I don't buy that. Granted, there are exceptions, but for most people it's just not. 4. The study has not been repeated or peer-reviewed. It's a nice theory, but there's simply no support for it (yet).
