The Myspace adds advertise marathon stuff and rocky horror stuff to me. Interesting combination.

Myspace advertises Jesus to me. I'm serious. Stuff about Christian mortgage companies and the rapture. I'm trying to figure out why, because none of my interests are remotely about Jesus.

Could it be because you put down "other" for religion and it just didn't know what to do with that? I know on my homepage I get a lot of "Catholic Dating Service" or whatever bullshit.

I once asked a fellow [sociological] anthropologist classmate about that very same "interests" leading into "personalized ads".
She went off on the same rant about "computers using mathematical formulae to try and group people who have literally nothing in common" which actual stabbing.
It was an awesome rant.

And I agree wholeheartedly.
