[Filtered from Drones, Smiths, Grady, the Milkman, the Post Office.]

Did anyone actually manage to get a word in with Sergei Smirnov? He grabbed my arm while I was walking down the street last night, but he vanished before I could even react to him.

And filter your damn replies. I feel like this goes without saying, but just... double check, ( Read more... )

Well, I saw him, but I didn't get to talk to him.

As for the droning, Nagi is too. It's really creepy...but try and remember this moment, you can probably use it against Schuldig if he really starts to piss you off.

Makes me wish they had camcorders in the 1950s, to be honest. I could hold it as blackmail.

So what's Drone Mastermind like anyways? Does he still have that obnoxious accent?

All smiles. He's so happy to be in Mayfield and have a wife as pretty as me.

And since he's unemployed, he's following me around everywhere. I have to send him on stupid errands just to get him to leave me alone.

Sergei Smirnov? Who's that?

He was a person who appeared during the Soviet Mayfield event, when we were suddenly in Communist Russia instead of the United States.

He was killed--apparently, anyway--on the television.

Communist Russia isn't ringing any bells for me, but I do have to wonder why he was killed.

That's possible; a lot of people here have never heard of it.

It wasn't made terribly clear. He was shot between the eyes by an unknown assailant. He sang the national anthem of the Soviet Union, had a moment of lucidity in which he was completely confused, and then was shot. My guess was that it was an act to retake the town by American forces--Grady, the Mayor, etc.

Filterin' doesn't work. Don't even bother.

Sergei? So that bloke was one of those Communist people?

Do you have definitive proof? I agree that it's very likely, but that's no reason to simply ignore filters altogether.

Yeah, he was. He was the father in the 'prime example' drone family, not too unlike the Smiths.

... Sergei Smirnov? ... Is that the handless guy? It looked like he wanted to say something, but he disappeared...

That's the one.

So you saw him too? I find it... disconcerting that he just vanished like that.

Yeah, it's kinda like how I was the time I almost faded from time...

...

You almost faded from time? How is that even possible?

Exciting is one word for it, sure.

'They said we'd be safe'? That's cryptic. What else did he tell you during your conversation?

Hm. Not terribly helpful, but not surprising either. Whatever he's running from, he's terrified.

Thank you.
