...the f-list. Many people have shifted to either facebook (feh) or fetlife (eh, but not bad!) for some of their posts. I have fb but find that its interface doesn't work that well, and it leaves out news, swaps the order of things, and so on. Plus, facebook is for colleagues and its info is mined and sold

Yeah, I've been trying to figure out how I want to use LJ and styill haven't quite decided. I like having it though, and like the options I have here - hopefully it won't be deserted by everyone.

FB I'm not on and don't want to be.

Fetlife - well, I'm now the owner of Kink-Aware Psychotherapy so I guess I'm there for the long haul. Heck, I have to say that the general level of kink-discussion there is at least as good, certainly not as bad, and often loads better than what I found here in communities.

I said I'd get a FB when the Saints won the superbowl. I wax and wane about FL.

I still post here and I like the features. I'm staying.

I've also been meaning to get back more involved in LJ. Facebook for me is mostly a Yellow Pages. Most of my "friends" are coworkers in Appalachia, so my posts are short sweet and bland. The LJ privacy settings are much more my speed, especially for anything truly revealing of myself...which I really do mean to restart doing... I've definitely not abandoned LJ, as infuriating as it can be sometimes. I read it almost every day, to try and keep up with what's really going on with my real friends in a world increasingly TLDR. I need to pay back the honor. Certainly that won't be happening on FB.

Never posted much here....or on FB for that matter...but I enjoy seeing what folks post on LJ.....it allows for more privacy than FB.
